There are many things that should be done, and not done, on St. Patrick’s day. This blog will go into the do’s and dont’s of this globally celebrated holiday

First, WEAR GREEN. This one should be self-explanatory, however not many people know the true meaning behind actually wearing green. The story goes that when someone wears green, they become invisible to all leprechauns and can parade around in safety.

Secondly, don’t be alarmed if you are pinched for NOT wearing green. This tradition was believed to be started in America to simulate a leprechaun finding you and pinching you for not wearing green. An old adage would be to remember the saying “Wear green so you don’t have to get mean!”

Lastly, kiss a redhead. Believed to be a sign of good luck and prosperity, kissing a ginger is said to bring both parties good luck for the rest of the year. You won’t see many Irishman complaining about this one! And as always, have fun and be responsible.

In conclusion, be sure to have a good time whilst including apparel that is green, pinching friends that are not partaking in this holiday, and smooch a ginger! We won’t complain!
